Founder & CEO
Laura I. Gómez
Laura I. Gómez is an entrepreneur and advocate and has been recognized by numerous publications, such as WIRED and New York Times.

The Antiracist Research and Policy Center and The Frederick Douglass Foundation recognized Gómez at the Library of Congress in 2019 during Douglass' Bicentennial celebration, one of the greatest honors of her life.

Cathy Garcia
Cathy has mobilized over $50 million in philanthropic resources for community leaders at the intersection of economic and racial justice. She’s previously held program leadership roles in philanthropy at Robin Hood, Prudential Foundation, Citi Foundation, and Resilia. She also founded Philanthropy Con Cafe, a boutique consultancy helping families and donors operationalize liberatory values in their philanthropy. She is Esperanza’s daughter, a sister, a partner, and a relentless advocate of mental health access for all.

Andrea Flores
Andrea Flores has spent her professional career in
production working for companies like Disney and Netflix, yet she does not define herself through these phases of her career. Instead, she has also sought to give back to the Latinx/Latiné community by being a Founding Board Member for Techqueria and now, Proyecto Sol. She has a Masters in Cyber Policy from Utica College.

Andrea, a true Tejana, currently resides in Los Angeles with her dog, Alebrije.

Jennifer Zamudio
Jennifer is passionate about mental health accessibility and joins the Board of Proyecto Sol with ambition to give back to the Hispanic/Latinx community.
Jennifer has spent the entirety of her career supporting the innovation economy, working with entrepreneurs, founders, and venture-backed startup companies. She has held roles in relationship management and capital deployment at Silicon Valley Bank, celebrating almost two decades with the firm. She has seen the power of mental health discussions through DEI initiatives; accessibility to all is important to Jennifer and she cares about making a difference one person at a time.
Jennifer was born and raised in the SF Bay Area and is the daughter of Peruvian immigrants. She holds two degrees from Santa Clara University.

Andrea Ortega
Andrea Ortega, MNM, CNP, is the Founder and CEO of Palante Nonprofits, LLC, a nonprofit consulting practice specializing in strategic planning, implementation guidance, and tailored training programs in English and Spanish.
With a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida, Andrea is also pursuing her Ph.D. in Public Affairs. Previously, she was the Senior Curriculum Development Manager at Resilia, designing and curating over 200 courses and building a diverse team.
Andrea is a proud #Gator, #Knight, and Colombian-American. Andrea is passionate about the Latinx community and committed to mental health because she believes in breaking the taboos and generational trauma that affect our community.

David Johnson
David is Professional Clinical Counselor and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor with experience in employee assistance programs, early psychosis, residential treatment centers, wraparound, k-12 schools, community clinics, and career centers. In these positions, he empowers diverse clients to set and achieve therapeutic goals by using solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and motivational interviewing techniques.
David is a seasoned mental health care provider with 15 years of experience specializing in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused practice. His work is based on a theoretical framework based on holistic psychology concepts pioneered by Alfred Adler.
